Group therapy offers kids, teens and adults an evidence-based way to gain new skills and information. Groups are a powerful and effective method of developing social and communication skills/confidence, emotional expression and self-regulation, as well as fine-tuning inter-personal relationship skills, with the overall aim of feeling happier in educational/work and home settings. Participating in a group can offer unique, dynamic and creative ways of developing skills, and can be a safe space to try out new ways of doing things. Groups can often help people to feel less isolated. Group participants provide valuable feedback and support to each other in a safe, encouraging environment.

Executive function is the ‘conductor’ or ‘controller’ of essential processes for life and learning, often referred to as organisational skills, self-efficacy and life/study skills. Today’s young people need to be explicitly taught how to integrate Executive Function skills into their thinking and learning.

Crisalida is excited to be partnering with James Golds (Intervention Educator with over 20 years’ experience) to provide individual and group programs in Executive Functioning skills.
