Adam is an experienced mental health professional, with a warm interpersonal style and an extensive clinical background.
Endorsed by Occupational Therapy Australia, Adam primarily delivers Mental Health Care Plan services under Medicare’s Better Access to Mental Health (BAMH) scheme. Adam also provides tailored occupational therapy services under the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS), focussing on building trust, therapeutic rapport and incorporating clients’ unique strengths to achieve their goals and enhance everyday functioning.
Adam predominantly works with adolescents, young adults and adults, managing individual and relationship issues related to anxiety, depression, autism spectrum disorders, stress, anger, self harm, conflict in the home environment, psychosis, life transitions, and interpersonal difficulties.
Utilising evidence-based focused psychological strategies, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Interpersonal Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Adam practices from a collaborative and trauma-informed perspective. Adam is LGBTIAQ+ affirmative, outcome focused and passionate about systemic family work.
Previously working in a variety of mental health services settings across Victoria and the Northern Territory, Adam has gained therapeutic experience treating mild to moderate mental health concerns in private practice at headspace, and complex and severe mental illness at Orygen, a specialist public youth mental health service.
Adam is an occupational therapist registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and Occupational Therapy Australia.
